The Metropolitan Opera is a vibrant home for the most creative and talented artists working in opera. Nearly 800,000 people attend more than 200 performances in the opera house during the season, and the Met is committed to making these performances accessible to people of all abilities.
In addition to wheelchair access, TTY and wireless listening devices, braille and large print programsare available at all performances. Braille synopses, like the one pictured here for The Magic Flute, are available for most operas. All a patron needs to do is to request one from an usher.
Every spot in the opera house is equipped with MetTitles, a small seat-back screen featuring subtitles in multiple languages.
