Cannabis, commonly known as marijuana, has been all over the news lately, with speculation that its medicinal value may be helpful to many chronic diseases. But the latest research shows little hope for those suffering with glaucoma.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology reports in this article by Beatrice Shelton, that the primary risk factor for glaucoma is high eye pressure, but that CBD oil or cannabidiol actually raises eye pressure rather than lowering it.
